This is not a typical European mainstream hotel experience - it is way beyond that! Hidden behind huge wooden doors is a remarkable castle with extensive gardens, all unspoilt with fantastic views. The rooms and bathrooms are well finished and furnished in keeping with the property, Breakfast is served ( in front of an open log fire in winter) in... More

A wonderful weekend get-away (if you are not too far) for us it was a 3 hours drive from Switzerland. It was easy to find despite its strategic position on a hill. We were greeted by the warm and friendly hosts. It consists of several buildings decorated very simply and maintaining its original feel. Guido is a fantastic historian ready... More

I can only recommend to spend some days at the Castello San Sebastiano. The place is magical with all its unique rooms and its secret garden atmosphere. Walk under the trees to the pond, walk up the hill and admire the Po valley spreading out under your eyes. Spend the afternoon in the greenhouse with a good book, eat out... More

Spent only one night in this peaceful haven. Though the place is a bit hard to find, once there it is well worth it. Our short stay was like stepping back in time and we experienced the true 'dolce vita'. The gardens as well as the buildings are beautiful and well maintained while keeping their ancient charm. Luca was very... More

Remarkable place for a stay near Turin: a large and historically important castle. Special experience. Large park around the castle with many trees and green houses. The owner and his father can talk for hours about the castle and their efforts to keep the spirit of the place (this means no TV or phones but that makes the place special). Parking... More

Just spent a few days at this amazing Castello. Everything was just perfect. Luca the owner was great. He showed us around, and told us incredible stories about the Castelo. The room I got was incredibly large, with splendid views of the piedmont. There are some nice restaurant with in a 20 minute car ride. Ask Luca and he would... More

We circumnavigated this "Borgo-castello" to find a battered door, quite an unassuming entry. Inside a fantastic place, partly showing its centuries, partly restored to leave its soul unadultered. We were welcomed and showed around by the owner. We were guided to discover places of special beauty and dripping with history. We found a lit fireplace and confortable armchairs in the... More

Atmospheric and architecturally fascinating place to stay made better by fantastic hosts and a genuine warm welcome. Luca and his family could not do enough to make our stay special and there was no better night during our stay than tucked up by the log fire with a couple of bottles of local red some prosciutto and good local cheese.... We stumbled across the castello by accident. It could not have been a better surprise. The castello was wonderful, every bit authentic but simple and unpretentious. Our hosts were charming, sharing with us their passion for art and the castle's history. We had a lovely meal at a restaurant a few meters away from the castle walls. Our stay was... More

Wonderful, recommended stay in a noble palace, with rustic stables, Italian garden, greenhouse, yard, church and frescos-decorated ball room. Not everywhere in renovated conditions -and this is the real charm. Go there and forget the third millenium.
