The hotel is a very nice looking place but the organization is quite poor. Most personnel is from south america while one would expect spanish people at least at the reception. The hotel is (was) very poorly connected to the city - there was only one shuttle bus available per hour, and the last one departed to Barcelona at 6pm - if I remember correctly. Very convienent for people pre/post cruising. Especially if you are jet lagged and are coming in at approx 0800 after a long flight from USA. Early check in (0700) is normal.
