We stayed at this family run hotel as we wanted a base on Lake Wolfgang for easy cycling most days (Bad Ischl. St Wolfgang, and St Gilgen) for example) and within easy reach of various attractions by hire car. It is a very clean well run hotel firmly under the control of Frau Zopf. We elected for half board which means sitting down by 7.30 and choosing the menu choice in the morning, but all the meals were tasty, well presented, and enjoyable during our weeks stay. Our room had a dual aspect and was well furnished. The swimming pool/sauna/solarium area is very good for times of inclement weather but only 6 sun beds by pool sp get there early. The hotel backs on to a river. It is a 20 minute walk to the lake front by pedestrian/cycle path but 5 minutes by bike (€40 per week from 2 agencies in the village). Plenty of parkibg for bikes and cars and well signposted from the main road from Salzburg. We really enjoyed our stay. more
