We've stayed here 3 times over the last 2 years. Each time was for the Tongariro Crossing. There's always been a large group of us so we've had the rooms that sleep 6 people. They are above what you would expect for a Lodge. Would put many 4 star motels to shame. Clean, tidy, modern and even has a dishwasher!... More

My friend and I took advantage of a special offer to leave behind Auckland's rat-race and stay at Plateau Lodge. I have never experienced such a considerate, friendly, guest-focused environment. Our apartment was spotless, modern and very comfortable. Andrea was thoughtful and always welcoming. It was great. Thank you and best wishes to a great wee family and their enterprise.

We made only a short stay here - arriving after 6pm and leaving very early the next morning. Our hosts were friendly and the room, though small, was well-appointed. Since we were hitting the road at 4am, our host provided us with a breakfast to go (a bit expensive, I thought, but welcome none-the-less).

The best hostel I've stayed in in New Zealand, very clean, excellent facilities, very helpful and attentive hosts, a free hot tub and no more than 4 in the dorms. There was a distinct feeling of attention to detail included in the price which is rare. Definitely stay here if in National Park!

I stayed here for 7 nights as I grabbed a 'hot deal'. I was in the Lodge part..room only with a shared bathroom & kitchen. My room did actually have a basin which was handy. My room was clean & warm, showers were out of this world! So nice after a big day doing the many activities nearby..Excellent value for... More

Had a Grab One deal - two bedrooms up to 4 people (aimed at families no doubt) including lift pass for two adults/two children. Plateau Lodge is a great place - it is a BBH Hostel - yes but one would not know from the outside. It is only a mere 20 or so meters from the main highway and... More

Nice room with en-suite in the apex of the main lodge building. Staff very friendly - gave us a good recommendation for somewhere to eat in the evening (Station Cafe). Free wi-fi and plenty of parking. Good location for all walks in the national park.

I stayed here 2 nights in a double bed private room with ensuite bathroom, tv, kettle, electric blanket. Cost $110per night. Well appointed room - big enough for 1 but would be squeeze for 2 suitcases for a couple. Last night had a noisy couple next door (that can happen anywhere) but tonight very quiet. Friendly staff and nice guests.Comfortable... More

We picked up a GrabOne deal for Plateau Lodge and would totally recommend it to others. The apartment was great - clean, well-presented, the kitchen was well set-up and the shower was amazing!
