“Lovely quiet hotel”

La Grande Eperivere, is grand! It is housed in a beautiful old building, very quiet with large, high ceilinged rooms. Very clean, very welcoming and a short walk to all the restaurants in old town Barcelonnette. “Just great”

A one night stopover on a cycling trip. Completely agree with recent comments. Room was clean and perfectly adequate; the proprietors couldn't have been more helpful and the breakfast buffet was one of the best I have sampled - everything wonderfully fresh. “Good overnight place with great breakfast”

We stayed one night. Room was ok, clean and simple (think good two star rather than three star) Breakfast buffet was great. What sets this place apart from others is the very friendly lady proprietor that makes you fell like home and helps you out with any matters.

“Friendly and welcoming hotel in the village”

We stayed one night, and received a very friendly welcome from the lady proprietor. Nothing was too much trouble for her. The rooms are fine - not luxury, but this is an Alps village hotel. They were clean and comfortable with a balcony overlooking the front garden. Lots of parking including an indoor garage which would fit about six cars.... More

“A very pleasant stopping place”

We stayed a night in la Grande Eperviere coming up from Nice and going back to Paris and we did not regret it. Warm welcome, large and clean room, quiet place and good breakfast. The hotel is nicely decorated and a few minutes walk from the centre of Barcelonette. This hotel is really good value and worth a stop.

“Great personal care in a beuriful villa”

We found this hotel garni through our TomTom. We were warmly welcomed by a kind lady, who showed us the comfortable and spacious rooms. The hotel has a garage, which may be necessary, because it can rain and snow quite heavily here. The breakfast was good and with plenty of choices. A truly sympathetic place.

Hello, First of all, thank you for your comment. Regarding the problem of hot water, we had a trouble with the boiler. Came into the heating time and the problem has been resolved.
