We stayed 1 night at the Anchor Inn in little current 12th May. This was very early in the tourist season so Manitoulin was very quiet almost ghostly a lot of business in the towns were still closed. There wasnt a great deal of accomodation choice in Manitoulin in general very old fashioned we'd driven to Gore Bay earlier and were disappointed as most towns were like ghost towns Little current and the Anchor was a pleasant surprise, there were still a lot of business closed but this place at least had some atmosphere. The Inn didnt look much from the outside and it wasnt easy to spot the front desk to checkin (there wasnt one) you had to go into the cafe front desk. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The owner and his daughter couldnt have been more welcoming the daughter managed a busy bar almost single handedly and even kindly made a call to a friend in ottawa to advise us on what events were on as this was our next stop.
