This hotel is very close to the home of some dear friends and we stayed at the Astoria to be in walking distance. The staff is very pleasant, exceptional, even, and made our stay much more comfortable. The rooms are typically small. We took a taxi from Milan to the hotel. When we left, we took the morning shuttle from the hotel to the airport. The management could not have been nicer to us. They went out of their way to help us, especially with resteraunt suggestions, and even made a special reservation for us the night before leaving - and we... more

We booked a night at this hotel in order to catch an early flight from Milan's international airport. A prime consideration was their "free shuttle" to the airport. The hotel stated it is 10 minutes from the Milan (Malpensa) airport and has a free airport shuttle. What they didn't say is that the shuttle operates for only 3 hours, from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. When we arrived at the airport at 5:00 p.m., we soon learned we were facing a $30-$40 taxi fare. more

If you've ever tried to find a decent hotel close to Malpensa, you know how hard that can be. This time we tried the Hotel Astoria, and I'm glad we did.
