After reading the other reviews on this hotel we expected the worst and ended up dreading our holiday . But, having had a more positive experience then we'd expected, we felt it important to make our view available. So, seperating the hotel from the complete holiday experience we agree that the hotel isn't as bad as made out in some... more

WARNING------ This is the most discusting place we have ever visited in our lives!!! DO NOT GO!!!!! There is a !!!!.....factory......!!!! on the beach- pumping out black smoke! The gym equipment is covered in rust! The pool is filthy! The staff are rude, unhelpful and unpleasent! The hotel is a large ugly concrete block of flats! The beautiful rock pool... more

Well what can I say, this is a great place. We went with our 4 boys ages 13, 5, 3 & 1. Ignore what others write, the staff/food are exceptional. Rooms all tidy, pool wonderfull. Not a bad word can be said. Not many english, but at times I feel that this is good as you really get the whole... more

The title says it all !! Bad Points 1. Rooms poorly decorated, rough round the edges, whole hotel is falling apart. See my photos. On one occassion i nearly fell down the lift shaft which was open "for maintanence" without any signs or warning. 2. Room walls are spit through - we could hear a vomitting female all night until... more

We stayed for a week in March all inclusive. The resort is quiet and public transport not great. We hired a car at the airport which was very cheap and useful for touring. Hotel was clean with very friendly staff. Food was plentiful and varied. Breakfast was very good. Sitting by the salt water pool, with the beautiful gardens around... more

I'm afraid the hotel is NOT a 4 star, more like a 3 star, with a 2 star restaurant. The food was very tastless and bland. 90% Spanish "Old" people. Entertainment was audience participation all the time with the odd song thrown in, so beware!! The location is ok if you want a quiet holiday and just use the local... more

We (2 oldies, 18, 16 and 13 year old) stayed over New Year 07/08 and overall we found Hotel a very "mixed bag". Rooms - I can only assume that not all rooms have been upgraded – we had 3 on 5th floor of the left hand tower – all very clean with new(ish) marbled tiled bathrooms & all bathroom... more

Having read the review below I fully agree with th view that this hotel is NOT worth it's four stars. Myself and my fiancee stayed here from 01 Jan 08 and 08 Jan 08 on an all inclusive package, and were overall disappointed with this hotel. Room: The room was fairly spacious with a large bed and was well cleaned... more

We booked Hotel Catonia as a last minute holiday to get away over the holiday period. Usually I do a lot of research before choosing a holiday destination but due to the limited availabilty I decided to go with this hotel because of it's four star status (Big Mistake). Hopefully all the guests who stayed at the hotel who we... more
