The resort is located on the beautiful and isolated island of Koh Mak, a 45 minute speed-boat trip from Laem Grob port, near Trat. The accommodations are about 300 meters away from the two best beaches on Koh Mak, Ao Suan Yai Beach and Ao Kao Beach. The island is far away from mass-tourism and crowds, and we cater to families, groups, and couples looking for the peace, harmony, privacy and serenity offered by the natural habitat of the green island. You can expect privacy here, surrounded by beautiful tropical gardens with lizards, singing birds and chirping bugs. Because of the remoteness of the island, you can not find banks, ATMs or 7-11s here. Guests looking for an alternative to the sterile, cookie-cutter, corporate-run resorts that have overtaken most Thai islands will love it here. Our staff are warm, friendly and happy to work hard to help meet your needs. Each of our houses is unique, settled in large, lush gardens. Each house has been custom built in Thai style, and is decorated with Thai antiques. Our main house features a restaurant downstairs, and upstairs, a library of DVDs and books for guests to share, a computer and WiFi, and a play area for young children.Because of the generous layout of the resort, the walking distances to the pool or restaurant might be longer (3-7 minutes) then guests might be used to from smaller properties. About 500m away, there is are two strips of local restaurants serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Some rent motorbikes by day or by week: renting a motorbike or bicycle is a great way to explore Koh Mak in its entirety. Our management is happy to recommend and even arrange tickets and transportation to any of the island's snorkeling, diving trips, Thai massages (and massage classes) and cooking classes.
