We read this was a 5 star resort,so expected something really good. The restaurant served good food, but the restaurant itself could use some TLC,for a 5 star I expect a table cloth..no? Loved this resort. The breakfast was very good, the resturant great. We ate here over the 8 nights we stayed here and never got sick. Basic but all you need with a friendly smile! Beach bar was a great place to relax with two for one cocktails and good BBQ served nightly. Good breakfast & restaurant was reasonable at other times. At the time of writing this review Ao Kao is rated 9 out of 14 hotels on this beautiful island.
