We found this hotel by chance (at about 11pm) while looking for somewhere to stay the night in Lamia. We were on our way to Pireaus but had to stop there for the night as it was late. Would recommend for a quick stopover as it was relatively cheap, basic and clean. The rooms were quite big, including the bathroom.
Lamia by night was quiet except for the local square, which was within walking distance. Quite safe. You could find something to eat very late at night (as in all Greek towns/cities).

We were traveling in Greece with my wife, three kids (ages 9, 7 and 4) and my mother-in-law so we decided to stop in Lamia for an overnight stay on our way to Argos from Halkidiki.

We drove through towards the city centre and ultimately decided on Hotel Elena partly due to the location to the main plateas (squares) and also being able to find two rooms that could handle three people in each.

The person at the front desk was friendly and provided us with good advice on where to go to spend some time and also for a bite to eat.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and a bit spartan in decoration which isn't too bad considering some of the garish wall and bed coverings that we have encountered at other hotels.

Parking was also included at a lot two blocks away.
The only drawback is that the room doors do not have peep holes so that you need to open the door to see who is there - not the best safety feature.

All in all a decent place to stay...
