The 'nicer' hotels in Phrae seem to be out of town or away from the interesting central part. Thepvong is centrally located, close to interesting markets, within walking distance of the Pratu Chai area with it's great array of street vendors in the night market. Stayed 4 nights in November! Great room, nice and clean! Maem and Carl are lovely people that make you feel very much at home! Loved the food served by the crazy chef and looking forward to comming back soon and having the 'cowboy breakfast' again and enjoying the laid back atmosphere at Thepvong Place!

Stayed 2 nights 16 & 17 August 2011. Maem and Carl were very kind hosts giving us a lot of local knowledge of things to see in Phrae. For the price, the room was comfortable, the bathroom worked and wifi good and free. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Stayed here for 4nights. Paid 250B for fan room. Room was clean and big enough with attached balcony. High speed Wifi in lobby and restaurant area. Located in a quiet lane and staff were friendly. Owner was from England, and his Thai wife speak good english. Highly recommended.
