The hotel is conveniently located, close to the train station, the Constance lake, and really a few steps by the pedestrian area of the city. The room was very large, clean, comfortable and quiet, with a smooth and well functioning wifi connection. Breakfast buffet is having a good choice and quality, and the staff was friendly and helpful.

The owners are so nice, and the room was great! The location was very convenient for a short walk to the beautiful Lake Constance, or the pedestrian town. We arrived on Sunday, so the shops were all closed, but it was a nice walk through the town. Breakfast was wonderful. We highly recommend Hotel Zur Schmiede.

I was not expecting such a big room. It was very clean and very comfortable for business travel. Internet access was free. I will come back to his hotel when in the area. For dinner we went to "zur Alten Mosterei", within walking distance. It was delicious: Uncommon dishes but very well done. I highly recommend it.
