With my husband having a four day stay in Shouldice Hospital, Norita's provided an excellent option where there were basically none for someone who didn't feel comfortable driving to and from a hotel in Toronto. Though I did venture out with my rental car once or twice to the very nice Promenade Mall, Shouldice was a 15 minute walk away in a very safe neighbourhood.
Norita was warm and welcoming and you felt part of the family. Being a retired catering chef, her breakfasts were delicious, especially her home made scones. MMM, I get fatter just thinking about them :)
The Victorian room that I stayed in had a spacious, shared bathroom. I was also able to get connected online by wireless.
The surrounding neighbourhood is lovely, quiet and park-like, as well as Norita's lovely front gardens. If you don't mind a good walk, there are some shops and restaurants 15 mins to a half and hour walk.
