I don't think they ordinarily do room service each day, but I am sure would if you asked. The owner, his wife and daughter run the place with some local help. They are all wonderful Shimoda people. For the price to stay it was well within reason. We will use this now as a regular spot to get out of Tokyo from. It takes about 3 - 3.5 hours driving from the center of Tokyo and is worth every minute of it. Eat sushi while in Shimoda by the way. EVERYTHING, and I mean everything is incredibly good. " More >

  "We were 16 frineds who wanted to visit Shimoda. Fortunately we were well accomodated here. We had booked 2 Japanese style rooms and 2 western style rooms. All the rooms were well maintained and clean. Overall this is a nice place with a good ambience."

  "Wonderful wonderful place. Not cheap, but well worth it. Lovely traditional tatami rooms. Recently refurbished. Excellent food. Lovely service. Exceptional onsen. And the best bit is that the large swimming pool is full of onsen water so it's very warm. A perfect place to stay if it is bad weather. ..."This ryokan is not by the beach like most others in Shimoda, it's a little inland, but the place is so good.
