A must see is the fortress on top of the town. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have had in an hotel. Why not the "excellent" review? Two reasons: the fact that the hotel is right in the center of the town and obviously loved by the people of Civitella makes it well attended at night, not a good thing if you are tired, want to sleep early and your window is right over the bar. There is also a sound insulation problem between rooms. The food was missing just a tiny bit to be excellent with the exeption of the zuppetta al pecorino, with was definitely outstanding.
