  "We stayed as a family of 10 (6 adults, 4 children ages 3-7) during May half term. We had the most wonderful holiday here. La Herradura is about an hours drive from Malaga, it was a very easy drive & we met the house keeper in the town. The house is simply fantastic, and the pictures do not do this ..."house justice! The living area & kitchen are large & spacious, equipped with everything you need, from books to games, coffee machine, even a trolley for the shopping! The bedrooms were extremely clean & comfortable, & 4/5 have an ensuite. The house is very secure, clean and well maintained. The pool & hot tub were used & enjoyed by all the family, as was the games room & table tennis. I simply cannot rate this high enough. There is more than enough to keep everyone entertained, and enough terrace that you can escape for a snooze in the sun easily! The town is a 5 min drive away or a 15 walk, which suited us. It is a very Spanish town, you really need to be able to speak some basic Spanish... " More >

  "Whilst staying in Nerja, we heard of this place through a recommendation. We were not disappointed at all and it lived up to all the previous positive reviews. Someone has previously said that the taster plate of deserts was worth a go - a sweet tooth fix and a half, and a nice suggestion? If Greg Wallace went here he would be in raptures....lemon tart, chocolate and salted caramel torte, white chocolate creme brûlée, gin and tonic sorbet, cheesecake and a chocolate mouse, and not forgetting the panna cotta and a few strawberries for garnish.   "We have stayed at this little Gem of Andelucia several times, Jed and Mandy are the perfect hosts, feels like we are friends staying with friends rather than paying guests. The rooms are even better now they have been renovated, the restaurant is lovely and the food is superb."
