The bedrooms were quite small and only one had a wardrobe although there was plenty other storage options. The furniture on the decking was very comfortable and of course the hot tub was excellent. No BBQ facilities but we had taken a disposable as we had enquired about it already and was told as that was fine as long as no damage was done to decking or grass etc. The decking area backed onto the woods and therefore felt quite private. There was plenty to do, the kids enjoyed the large play area and trampoline. The pool although quite small was warm and not that busy. Lovely big room, which was light and airy (windows on two walls) in immaculate condition with elegant yet contemporary furnishing. This hotel has actually considered the NEEDS of their customers beyond clean sheets and spare loo roll. I had a good night’s sleep disturbed only by the sound of an owl in the middle of the night and a loud goose adding to the dawn chorus. Breakfast was excellent, I can’t remember the last time I had such thick juicy bacon, so top marks to the Dower House chef for sourcing from a local butcher. Highly recommended. " More >
