  "We stayed in this hotel with our friends for my husband's birthday. The Pension was very clean and our room had recently been refurbished with an excellent en-suite. Our room (number 1) faced the main street so was a bit noisy - if you want a quieter room choose one on the side. Beata was very ..."friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. She recommended Cafe NO for breakfast which was 3 or 4 doors up the street. We chose the hotel because of the description on Booking.com - however, their description is not entirely accurate. There is only one room with a hammock - room 5 - and meals are NOT included in the price. Beata has asked Booking.com to amend the description on several occasions but it remains the same. I have also informed them of their error, However, none of this spoilt our stay - we would definitely recommend it - excellent value for money and the breakfast up the road was only 3 euros.   "The hotel is situated about a 10 minute walk from the Marina, but ideally located for the bus station if you want to venture further afield and also the airport bus stop. We stayed for 2 nights and had a very pleasant stay. Our room was clean and airy and the bathroom was quite spacious. You get a ..."good range of toiletries to use which is seldom these days. The customer service was exceptionally good and all the staff very polite. There is a continental breakfast with a vast choice on offer, but I particularly enjoyed the spanish cold meats and cheese, as well as the tomatoes with toast. We didn't make use of the pool or any of the other facilities, but overall this it is a modern hotel with a focus on professionalism. Highly recommended. " More >

  "Lovely holiday at the Melia"
  "As we near the end of our stay at the Melia I must say that we had a very pleasant & enjoyable stay.Check in was very efficient & we were allocated a sea view room on the 4th floor.Noise from ongoing renovations was occasionally a factor but we didn't allow it to bother us unduly.We didn't opt for b..."reakfast (15 euro if paid on check in otherwise 22)...there are plenty of coffee bars near by.The weather wasn't great this week unfortunately ...prone to cloud & the occasional thunderstorm... but we made the most of the nearby sea when the sun did shine. I am not hugely mobile at the moment but we had no trouble finding several good restaurants within walking distance. Our favourites included Wasabi Tribeca & Tapa Cana .In fact, we didn't have a bad meal during our stay. We enjoyed a nightcap in the hotel bar each night...served by an efficient & charming barman. As long as Ryanair continue to fly from our local airport we hope to return & would stay at the Melia again. " More >
