  "The pension is 15 min walk from downtown, but at night there is not light in the small street that head up to the pension, so bring flashlight, if you plan to go to the city at night. There is a short path, where you take the stairs in front of the rooms, in the garden and leads to a non paved path ..."flanked by banana trees and then to a small road. I did not like much as was a irregular ground and could get very mud with rain. Then I realized that the pension's neighbour had a small paved road that lead to the same street. If you descend the stair, at the end of the fence,at your left, before the ground path in between the bananas trees, you will see the paved road. Take it, easier to walk. About the pension: It had nice views from Tahaa and Uturoa. Room was tidy and clean, and there was a small fridge for guest use, outside the room. Formerly a coconut plantation the acreage now has roughly 15 cottages spaced for privacy and views in well-planted parkland. Both the land and the cottages show that they are tended with care. There is a jetty for access straight to the reef drop off giving perfect access for snorkeling and swimming.
