The ski/boot room is excellent with individual lockers for each room offering a pleasant change from the usual crushed boot rooms I've experienced in other hotels. The staff were all courteous and professional, and breakfast and dinner were always to a high standard and if anything there was too much food. The hotel also offers an excellent swimming pool with stunning views over Obergurgl, although it was never busy during our stay I imagine it can get quite crowded when the hotel Is full. One caveat I should raise is the location of Hochgurgl itself. It is isolated at 2200m, with the only buildings being 6 hotels (no shops). ... " More >

  "The hotel is very nice, with big spaces. The location is good but you have quite many stares, which can be a little difficult when you have equipment and kids to take care of. The bar, with a big smoking area, is amazing. "

This did not bother us at all, since we only wanted to ski and relax for 5 days, but if you prefer to have a nice Austria village for a evening walk with shops, restaurants and bar you may consider Sölden, which is approx. 10 km from Hochgurgl. * We had room 315. The room was pretty ok, with a nice big bathroom. However our reservation stated "We to the north" (Reservation via Tui) and the actual view was on the northern wall of a patio. No big deal for us...
