It was very comfortable, beautifully furnished, well kept, spotlessly clean and above all quiet.The staff as usual were excellent. Didn't eat in the restaurant as we..." were disappointed with the meals and service last year however we had breakfast each day which was well cooked, hot and superbly delivered (we opted for room service as the service in the restaurant can be slow).   "We stayed here for three nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary and could not have chosen better. The hotel itself is a very old building with a more modern extension but unlike other places we have stayed this was done in a reasonably sympathetic manner externally and very nicely on the insid..."e. The whole hotel is beautifully kept, food was fantastic and the staff were amongst the best we have found anywhere we have stayed. The fact they were all local and had knowledge and passion for the area certainly helped. Many Scottish hotels could take note of this! We cycled over 100miles around the area and were surprised at how lovely it was. All in all we will be back! " More >
