Booking our room was painless and upon arriving, we found the rooms to be very comfortable and homely. In keeping with the romance of Heartbeat, the place ha..."d a lovely feel to it. Our room had a little sink in it, tea and coffee making facilities and an adequate TV. The lady who runs the place (Cath) was really pleasant, very friendly and the font of all knowledge in terms of the local haunts, walks, historic tit bits and was very accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, however the only thing I will mention is the breakfast. It was one of the worst I have ever had. It was clear upon arriving that breakfast is served between 8.30 and 9am. At 6:45 when I made a trip to the toilet, I could smell breakfast being prepared. Why I ask myself?!   "We stayed at The Goathland Hotel in room 4 for my mom and dads 15th wedding anniversary, the room was great with a view over looking the garage, the only thing I had against it was there being no tv, but it was fine as we were out sight seeing. I understand the prices as it was the location of one o..."f Britain's best loved TV shows but as being under 18, both me and my sister weren't allowed in the bar and were only allowed in the family room, which was fine just it wasn't as special as the room was never featured in Heartbeat. However, that aside we thoroughly enjoyed our time especially as we got some memorabilia from the stores and garage, one of the pleasant bar staff took pictures off us all in the bar before opening time and as an avid Heartbeat fan, the manager gave me lots of signed pictures from the cast.
