  "We were lucky enough to have our visit given as a gift for our 50th Wedding Anniversary by our family. The hotel was very good and the location was great. Dinner was a little disappointing in as much that fine dining does not mean that you shouldn't have at least enough food to really appreciate.I h..."ad a chewy steak unfortunately but if I had had even one whole carrot and not just a stub and maybe two or three shelled peas instead of one with the smallest, smallest piece of cauliflower I may have thought I had had dinner?? However breakfast was the exact opposite and there was every choice you could wish for so they exonerated themselves thank you.   "We booked a 3 day family holiday via Travelzoo that included dinner on each night to unwind. It was a truely magical stay at the hotel and surrounding area. Checking-in was a breeze even though it was half-term week as for a change the efficient receptionist knew what she was doing! The rooms w..."ere all large with good size bathroom and a balcony. Also our free bottle of reasonable wine was in the room waiting patiently for us. Dinner was excellent, well executed and presented food that was in keeping the status of the Hotel. Everything we tried was delicious. Breakfasts were also excellent. A wide choice of hot and cold food, fruit, croissants, toast, juices and hot drinks. If they ran out of anything it was quickly substituted with an alternative. We had attentive and friendly staff though-out our stay and they even made sure we had the same table each day (NB There was 9 in our party).
