Mordreuc is a peaceful haven of a few beautiful old stone-built houses with colourful gardens on the river. There is a café and a slipway (with its resident seal) for small boats. If you cycle there is a pleasant and easy ride to the village (Pleudihen) for the morning bread and croissants, a few minutes by car. The house is spacious, immaculate, extremely comfortable and fully equipped. The garden is large, walled, tiered, a sun trap with fine views from the top level. The cottage was beautifully decorated and very modern with all the things you'd expect to make holiday life as easy as possible (dishwasher, washing machine etc) Even little touches like good quality sheets, comfy beds and fluffy towels m..."ade it such a lovely experience and gave us both the chance to fully relax away from the stress of jobs and busy lives in the UK. The gite was close to local towns, we visited Dinan and saw an art and sculpture exhibition as well as St Malo, Dinard and various others for long lunches and the odd bit of sightseeing! We enjoyed strolling down to the beach at Mordreuc from the Gite in the evening as well as many trips to other beaches and even a giant Fort. The local village has a fabulous boulangerie which kept us supplied with tasty breakfasts and the supermarket was very near too.   "What a fantastic place to stay. Our gite was a new apartment built inside a 350 year old barn. No expense spared conversion. Kate was a great host. She was very generous with her time in explaining what there was to see and do locally. It was great to stay in a rural location which is peaceful and ..."quiet but still there was so much to do and see in the local area. We loved our morning routine of strolling down to the village boulangerie for bread. Its very close to a small port and beach, and close to some very pretty historical towns.
