After reading the comments on here I was expecting it to be a bit of a hell hole but have to say I was pleasantly surprised. It is true tha..."t you can easily miss the turning into the hotel but nothing that a quick drive around doesn't solve. Car park was big and plenty of spaces near to the reception. Check-in was quick and efficient and asked if car park pass was required. Room - room was clean, working TV, tea and coffee facilities (which were replenished the morning after), hot water, shower cubicle may be a touch on the small size but overall a decent room for 2 nights. My only moan would be that the room was far too hot (not something I usually moan about!!), did turn the heating off as soon as we got in the room and did not need it be turned back on for the duration of our stay.   "I booked this hotel as I was visiting the Gadget Show Live at the NEC with a few friends. We had a little problem finding it as it’s not like normal Travelodge’s I have stayed in, with it attached to a Toby restaurant. We had a meal at the restaurant which was very good. I had booked 2 rooms in ..."October for this April stay and got them for just £21 per room. The room I stayed in was smaller than normal and had two single beds but was fine for our 1 night stay. The bathroom was also smaller with just a small corner shower, unlike most Travelodge’s which have a shower with about a 5’ base with shower curtain. There was also no shelf to put your toiletries on. The shower in my room was fine but my friends had no hot water but the receptionist refunded them £10 for the inconvenience, which was good. All in all, a basic hotel for a basic price, good value. " More >
