  "I really would recommend this hotel to anyone, it's perfect for a chilled out holiday or a great base for exploring. I'm not sure why some reviews say it's in the middle of no-where, it's a 10 minute walk into Kontokali and the Marina and another 10 into Gouvia with lots of shops, bars and restaura..."nts. Considering all I did most days was chill on the beach, making good use of the free wifi (I always got a good connection), a 10 minute stroll in the evenings was hardly strenuous. I know this hotel gets a lot of repeat guests, myself included and just when you think it couldn't get any better, this year it has. All rooms are now equipped with a kettle and complimentary tea/coffee plus the beach towel hut is now staffed all day. An excellent standard of accommodation, very friendly and professional staff, plentiful breakfast buffet, ideal location, private beach, wifi throughout ............ what more could a girl ask for, I'll definitely be back.   "Like other recent reviewers, we really enjoyed our stay at the Kontokali Bay. Unusually for hotels these days, we did not come across a single unfriendly or unhelpful member of staff. On our last two days on the island we were travelling around various other resorts, and the beach for the Kontokali..." Bay was the best we saw. Although small, it was never overcrowded during our early season holiday although I imagine it could get a lot busier in high season. There was a violent storm with hailstones one night during our visit which deposited sand across the whole site, and the next morning, the whole of the cleaning staff were busy first thing in the morning to get the place cleaned up for the guests. This attention to detail is very typical of the excellent service at this hotel. I found the wifi was patchy in my room, my phone connected consistently well, but my tablet computer kept dropping, and the speeds were variable, but it is free and if I wanted a reliable connection I co... And their is a professional service, they are very friendly, give you the informat..."ion you need, always smiling, you feel like a queen. The variety of food is excellente and everyone can find something you like or would try, and please try the local dishes. In the beach tavern you become freshed grilled fish or meat with salads and so many different before- after and side dishes. The spa/wellness is more as beautifull and is something you have to experience, it feel like you were born again. And i recommend also to try a cocktail. I ll coming back.
