Entering the lobby, I smelled fresh paint, noticed the bright and cheerful decor and was greeted with a cheerful, welcoming smile from the receptionist. We were shown to our room (room 10, the supposedly haunted room I had asked for) and were impressed by the charm and character of the interior of the hotel. The beds had down duvets, scatter cushions, old-fashioned bolster cushions and crisp white sheets. The TV was perched atop an antique wardrobe, bearing a remarkable resemblance to my grand mother's old wardrobe that smelled of mothballs. The only thing I found strange was that our bed wasn't made Saturday morning, I can’t say I've stayed at a B&B where you have to make your own bed.
