The resort has a good Thai restaurant, a number of swimming / dipping pools and access to a very long and relatively clean beach (which is good as The Gambia has a major problem with plastic waste and littering) fringed with coconut palms. The staff were polite and responsive. The internet was free and most of the time worked well. Breakfast was good, although the coffee could have been better - espresso option would be good. Short distance to the hotel which is guarded with security and police, welcomed by the very hospitable Sarah from guest relations it was an enjoyable experience being checked into the hotel enjoying a glass of champagne whilst being informed of the hotel facilities!   "It has taken me a while to get around to writing this review. I travelled here in mid March for a week with my partner. Neither of us had been to The Gambia before, but I would say that we would be likely to return. And would more than likely choose to stay here again. We had booked a junior p..."enthouse, as I prefer a room on a higher floor. It was of a good size with nice high ceilings and a large balcony. The bed was comfy, and there was a reasonable amount of storage space. Could have perhaps done with a chest of draws. The bathroom was also large, but the lighting was virtually non existent, there was a tiny bulb in the light fitting on the ceiling and with it being so high up it was not really doing anything at all. The hot water was plentiful and we each had a sink to ourselves. The biggest problem was with the shower.
