The beach is lovely (I did see one review say it was too rough for kids? There were no waves at all when we were there, just lapping on the shore) - it's a huge 22kms of beach, I believe. The beach bar is great, and the food at the beach bar also great. The resort offers a lot of activities - including paintball (my kids are now asking if we can stay at other resorts that include paintball). There are arcade games and a littler kids playroom (which my 4 year old adored). There is an aviary with Asian birds.   "We stayed here over Chinese New Year as we weren't very organised and didn't plan ahead! The hotel is a jump away from Singapore - I would recommend you contact Desaru fruit farm ferries to get over there. We organised transfers from the ferry port with the hotel, this as great and hassle free. Our..." room at the hotel was lovely, huge, clean and everything worked well. Nice view over the pool. The food at the restaurant was fine, nothing to write home about, but fairly tasty and seemed fresh. Breakfast was good. Very busy, but despite that there was no shortage of food. Service was good. We wandered over to the resort next door, and very quickly returned to this one thanking our lucky stars that we had made the right accomodation decision! Overall a pleasant stay. " More >
