As one would expect from a Melia hotel it had a spacious lobby and reception with nearby bar and sitting areas. Air conditioning was good. The rooms are modern and almost faultless - many hotels in Cuba suffer from poor or no maintenance but this was almost excellent apart from some loose trim from the bathroom ceiling. The beds were large and comfy and the sheets clean and the room as a whole pretty clean. Good hot water although the water was heavily chlorinated (maybe because of recent cholera outbreaks in Cuba.
