  "I gave this resort 5 stars because I went there to fish, and in that I was extremely satisfied. The accommodation and food are not fancy, but I didn't go there to lounge in the bar - I went to fish. The cabins are a bit rustic, and appointed with fairly tired furniture and finishing. The beds in our..." 4 bedroom cabin were all twins, the food ample and good but not fantastic. That being said, I put on weight. The setting is nice, pretty wild and isolated. The staff are excellent and the fishing guides are very capable. My girlfriend accompanied me, not much of a fisherwoman, and she caught 17 nice sized lake trout in one day. None of our 4 person party was skunked in any of the mornings or afternoons we fished, we were all satisfied with the fishing. The other three in my party were pretty much rookies, so we stuck to trout fishing. The other guests raved about the grayling fishing which any fly fisherman would enjoy. Our guides were ready and waiting for us by our well equipped boat. We told our guide that we wanted to just catch a lot of fish - and did we ever ! We caught more lake trout and northern pike than I could count. On one occasion, our guide, using his GPS, took me to a specific deep fishing hole. He told me to drop the hook and bounce it off the bottom and you will then reel in a lake trout. I did just that... and a couple dozen more times as well. Each time I dropped the hook and gave it a bounce on the bottom I caught a lake trout. The guide then said it was time to move on and get some northern pike.
