Facilities are good and the family owners and managers are lovely, friendly and helpful. High tide comes right up to the edge of the camp. A lovely place to stay. Small shop on site for essentials, or walk into Oakura Bay, just over the hill, then you will have the delight of walking back to the camp and the breathtaking view as you come over the crest and look down at the camp site and the bay, I could never tire of that. Host was very..." welcoming, informed us about the times for the tour buses, so that it was not a surprise when we walked in. Just before 9am there was only a handful of people in the cafe. Service was fast and friendly for both the restaurant and the cafe. Meals were nice and fresh. Not 5 star quality, but still very good. Was nice to see that the reception would phone through to confirm dinner bookings. Tired rooms. The rooms were a touch tired, although very spacious with all amentities that were needed.
