  "I stayed here for one night as I had some business at the university campus last weekend. I booked this stay through a secret hotel deal and was really impressed with the hotel. As I travelled by train, the station was about a 15min walk and as a female alone I still did not feel threatened. The hot..."el entrance was great, the view over the river was a perfect setting and the restaurant although I didn't eat there looked very fancy. The room was clean and easy to get to. The spa was the true selling point for this hotel. Although I did not use the gym it was really big and had lots of different machines. The spa and swimming pool was a great size with up to date news papers and magazines to spend some time with. It was also good because they didn't close on the Friday until 10pm but unfortunately on the weekends the hours were much shorter and I was not able to get an early swim in.   "Stayed for only one evening, on a business trip. Staff on reception were good and room very well presented (but it would be great if cleaners could remove the gunge beneath the tap control in the bathroom). Decoration throughout the building was nice and cheerful although the breakfast area seemed v..."ery dull. Bathroom goodies pack was excellent and good quality too. Room, and generally the whole hotel, seemed very warm and turning down the heating in the room did not reduce the temperature, but opening the window was not an option due to the noise outside. Despite double glazing the traffic noise was still pretty loud. Only real disappointment was the food for a conference meal. The quality was excellent but the timing?? It seemed as if we had arrived unexpectedly and asked for a hundred meals at once. Waiting more than an hour between courses....something had clearly gone a little wrong.
