It had the most amazing panoramic views across the Clyde to Helensburgh. The breakfast was delicious and filling with everything you could think of on the menu.   "Stayed for 3 nights between Christmas and New Year 2012 booking via Laterooms at the last minute. Obtained good price for 3 night stay and was further impressed when we received a room upgrade on arrival giving us a huge room with fabulous view over the Clyde. The weather was pretty foul but the hot..."el was always comfortable and the staff always friendly. We booked B&B but stayed and ate in the hotel each evening. £25 for 3 course dinner, £21 for 2 course was pretty reasonable for a hotel restaurant and the food was good with the menu changing slightly each evening so there were always a few new meals on offer each time. The location is ideal for exploring both Glasgow city and the coastline and islands in the Clyde area. We took a ferry over to Bute for the day, with the car as it was only a 30 minute drive from the hotel and enjoyed a great day exploring the beatiful island.
