  "I just stayed the one night on my way from Leon in Spain to Geneva by train. It is right by the station in Bayonne so extremely handy even though some of the railway staff were having a strike on the day I was there. My room had twin beds with lovely duvets and big pillows: also a welcome bottle of..." water - plus some sticky looking sweets which I did not try. It overlooked the river towards the town centre although I realise that many of the rooms would not have this view. The bathroom was excellent with shampoo and gel and nice towels. The wifi was very good - 8 hours for free. The receptionist was friendly and allowed my to print my Easyjet boarding pass on the hotel printer and she spoke good English. The breakfast was fine - no evening meal that I could find but plenty of brasseries in the area. My main criticism was in the price I paid - 95 euros which seems on the steep side - 75/80 would have been more realistic. " More >

The room was large, had character and the bed was extremely comfortable. The hotel is positioned about 20 minutes walk up the hill from Ba..."yonne in a quiet, residential area. The town itself was very pretty, interesting and we had no problem finding good restaurants. It was also a good base to visit San Sebastián and Biarritz.   "Very clean and well kept hotel. Great bed. The bathroom and shower were more than adequate. The hotel is just 3 minutes from the train station and about a 10-15 minute walk to the historic part of town. The included buffet breakfast was a good start to the day. Getting "CNN" on the TV was an ad..."ded bonus. The best part of this hotel, however, was the view of the city, as my room looked out on both the Ardour River and the spires of the Cathedral.
