  "We were a bit suspicious looking from the outside; as throughout the city (or maybe it's the old town) the houses seem a bit run-down. Entering the lobby doesn't change much that idea... Then we are taken to the rooms, and prepare yourself for a metal staircase, industrial style (if you're carrying..." vey big luggage, think twice or have an overnight bag: you'll have to lug it up and down on your own, no lift). The rooms are a nice surprise. Although smallish, but that is visible on the site photos, it is decorated in a fun way, the space efficiently used. There was a safebox, but we didn't use it. Nice clean bed linen, The bathroom is big, by comparison, and new. It was very clean, but I would suggest to have some hangers on the wall or back of the door, to hang the towels or whatever you take to the bathroom. We didn't try the breakfast, it closed at 9.30h, but it seemed nice, not expensive. The hotel is quiet, and whoever services the space makes himself scarce... you hardly see ... " More >

Hotel is located up the hill on Ave. Jean Zuccarelli, the main avenue leading west out of the new port/central park area. Parking, as noted below, is a bit of a nightmare during the ..."day in Bastia. This hotel had no parking left in the garage when I checked in at 2PM and the clerk suggested that I find a place in the neighborhood nearby. There was not a place to be seen, but I took the afternoon to run around town, visiting the citadel and other places. I did manage to find parking for my excursions and returned after dinner about 8PM to find many, many free parking places in the road just across the roundabout. So I would just like to say, all is not lost if there is no parking in the hotel garage. " More >
