We stopped at two downtown hotels, two and 3 stars, both were fully booked and didn't have any recommendations in the neighborhood. We found this hotel in an old guide book and called.   "Conveniently located right off the motorway, which was great since we had a car and did not want to deal with traffic in Aix. We were given a room on the ground floor, facing the parking lot and motorway. However, our room was quiet and had a nice view of trees. The room was small and felt like a do..."rm room--two small beds pushed together did not feel like a "twin room". It was hard for 2 people to be walking around the room at the same time. Towels were minimal. There were only 2 bath towels and 1 bath mat. A small hand towel would be welcome. The "free" internet is unsecured and one has to be continually logging in, which was irritating. They also offer faster internet at 2.99 Euros per day but our free internet was adequate. On the plus side, the room was clean and efficient. Also, the #8 Bus is just outside the front gate. It is easy to catch the bus to downtown Aix for 1 Euro, sure beats trying to find a parking space!
