  "This wasn't our favorite hotel on our last trip to Germany, but it was fine. Pros: We had a large room, especially by German standards. Though I thought the quality of the bread was subpar, the breakfast had lots of variety. The staff was very nice about helping us out with laundry. It's fairly standard to have two twin beds next to each other, but this was the old-fashioned type with a wooden rail around the mattress, making it impossible to be close to your partner and painful to get out of bed. We were also annoyed that we had a kitchenette in the room that we weren't allowed to use. We wouldn't have minded so much except that we had already bought groceries when we found this out. Our room was very spacious and bright, there was a large double bed, although it had two single mattresses pushed together on the double bed base. Everything very clean and of good quality. It seems a bit unfair to make a small criticism of such a nice hotel, but maybe the room and bathroom are starting to look a little dated, or maybe I have stayed in too many ultra modern hotels in recent years, and it just appeared that way.
