We thought for 130 euros per night it was good value for a five star hotel. The only criticism would be that the enormous bed, largest we have ever seen, sagged. They spoke excellent English, which was great for us as we have very little Spanish and no Basque. The room rate was excellent and provided great value for money. The hotel's location is good because it is very close to the train station and to public transport. It is a 25-minute walk from the main square. The immediate area around the hotel is interesting for it's ethnic mix of people and there were a lot of people on the streets during the day. Guests should exercise caution when walking in the area, especially at night. However, no more caution is necessary than in other city-centre areas in the world.
