  "My stay with Mario and Maria has been the highlight of my Europe trip. I went to Ischia upon the advice of a friend and I am so happy I did. Mario and Maria were exceptional hosts. They were warm, welcoming, and treated me like family. The room I stayed in was very comfortable and clean. The highlight for me was the lovely garden and the meals that they prepared. Virtually everything I ate for dinner was made with ingredients from the garden I was eating dinner in; they use their own lemons, oregano, basil, parsley, apples, lettuce, and so on. The only thing I ate that wasn’t from the garden was the fresh fish that Mario caught that morning and brought in to cook.   "My partner and I just stayed 4 days/3 nights at Ischia Blu Resort in a one bedroom sea view apartment. The location of the resort is really convenient and easy to find, as it is just about a 5 minute walk from the port. However, once you arrive inside the gates of the hotel, you feel as if you are..." no where close to the port. It's so quiet and peaceful and there is a nice secluded private cove in which you can relax in the sun on lounge chairs. The staff were very nice and tried their best to make sure we were happy with our accommodations. While the maids didn't speak much English (tourists to the island are most commonly Italian, German or Russian), Alessandro, the owner, spoke English very well and was available anytime we needed him as he gave us his private cell phone number and urged us to call him anytime if we needed anything at all. On our day of arrival, the wireless internet wouldn't work in our apartment and we somehow messed one of the windows up causing it not to be ... " More >
