Perfect for a quick breakfast at the Starbucks next door (I think the breakfast in the hotel is very expensive for what it is). The rooms are goo..."d, but be careful of the tiny bedrooms particularly at the start of summer as they have a policy regarding when the aircon comes on between April and May and my room last year reached upwards of 25 degrees c. But my rooms this year have been great. Perfect sized for single occupancy. The restaurant is good. The service is good. There's piano music in the evenings and a good location for people watching.   "A modern design hotel in downtown Basel, excellent location close to the tram, shops, Rhine, restaurant and main sights. Hotel staff was friendly and the room itself beautifully designed. The bed was ultra comfortable, even pillows way better than in most hotels. Breakfast was good and had a bit of ..."everything for every taste, and the fact that it was served until 11 am at least during the weekend was a big plus. The breakfast area itself is somewhat small but very cosy and modern. Wi-Fi worked super well, iPod docking and minibar available as well. We liked the plain design of the room which was spotelessly clean and felt "fresh". The shower was simply fantastic, the LED lights and design of the rainshower area was truly amazing and somewhat artistic - a big big bonus. We'd highly recommend this hotel to everyone who values comfort, simple but beautiful design, central location and a general "feel good" atmosphere. " More >

  "We stayed here just for one night, it was a great hotel. Free passes for public transportation, we made reservations for parking but there wasspace in front of the hotel. They didn't charge us for the reservations. Very friendly at the reception desk. Free softdrinks for in the room. Next to central..." station but with the windows closed you don't notice a thing. We kept the windows open. The bed was good, but i prefer box spring instead of a wavelet bed base underneath the matras. WiFi worked great, you get a password for every device (how cool). Leila in the bar was very friendly too and told us about Basel. Breakfast was really very good, kofie is served whatever coffee you like and lots of choices....Italians complained about it (well we are in Italy right now....and they shouldn't complain about the breakfast in Basel, because it's five star compare with what we are having in Italy).
