We were right in the center of town and close to everything. Five stars for the staff, the location and the common breakfast/lounge/business floor. With the generous breakfast and a supermarket across the street we ate out only for dinner. There IS parking but it's across the street and not valet (always my preference anyway). The hotel has an arrangement with the Forum's underground parking and it only cost us 5 euro per day to park with unlimited entrances/exits. Our 3rd floor junior suite was good sized, kept impeccably clean, had beautiful views of the grand canal and a comfortable bed. Why not 5 stars?   "Having booked this hotel several months ago I was rather concerned to read a recent review saying there were no stairs and the lift did not work until 9am. Actually breakfast started downstairs at 7.30 and the lift was working then and there definitely were stairs. We were on the second floor and h..."ad a very nice room looking out towards the canal. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed and a desk, the bathroom was big with a bath and shower and 2 wash basins. We had no problem connecting to wifi in our room. Breakfast was excellent with a great choice, fresh fruit, cheese and cold meats, yoghurt, various breads and pastries, fruit juice, tea, coffee etc. The hotel is modern, the staff were polite and helpful, there is free hotel parking right outside, it is very well located close to lots of restaurants and the station is a 15 minute walk away from where you can get a direct train to Oporto.
