And both the room and the hotel were a good match to the spectacle that is the Batalha Monastery. We had been a little anxious that - on the map - the hotel seemed rather close..." to the highway and might prove to be a typical noisy coach-tour place. Instead, it proved to be a quiet, warm and friendly small hotel with very well appointed, comfortable rooms, good secure wifi and an excellent restaurant with very well-informed staff (ask for advice about the wines). And it was quiet despite an amazing, organised bicycle race event held in the streets that night! Our only suggestion for improvement would be for better reading lights on the beds. " More >
