We like to stay in Novotels in unknown locations because we can count on a good level of comfort and service and we were not disappointed by this one. Our Superior room was quite large and comfortable, also quiet. My only ..."comment is the AC could have been better. The roof top pool was a delight after long days of touring in the heat of the day. The price was very good for the quality of the hotel. This hotel is not right in the center of the city, but only a few metro stops away from most of the sights, with a 5-10 min walk to the metro station from the hotel. The hotel staff was very helpful in giving suggestions, directions and making reservations for us for dinner and tours if needed. " More >

  "The hotel itself was the quality you would expect from an Intercontinental hotel. It was very far from the main attraction but it had a free shuttle bus to the main square (Syndagma). Unfortunately the concierge did not mention this to us on the first day so we had a 30 minute walk to the acropoli..."s. The breakfast was not included with our room so we can not comment on the food. But the price was very expensive, again as you would expect from a 5 star hotel :) They were kind enough to give us a room as we had arrived very early in the morning and our check in was not until the afternoon. As usual the pillows in the hotel were super soft, but we were able to swap for a slightly better type. " More >

  "We only had one night at the Divani Palace Acropolis, but it was a lovely stay. We took advantage of a honeymoon package special listed on their website, but since I seem to have mediocre luck with hotels, I was a little wary about getting my hopes up for the perks the package promised... especially..." since we arrived pretty late at night. But the Divani staff are pros, and everything was just as we'd hoped: an upgrade to a larger room with a view of the Acropolis, plus fresh flowers, a delicious fruit tray and a bottle of champagne on ice waiting for us in our room! With its great location, beautiful pool and restaurants, and excellent service, we will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Athens. " More >
