  "In mid April we had a family stay at the Viking Village Hotel - 11 people in our party. The Flybus from Keflavik (airport) runs right by the driveway. The rooms were cozy and comfy, with the big surprise being the amazing Viking-sized tubs just begging to be used. A delicious breakfast was served..." in the rustic wood dining area consisting of two kinds of skyr, fresh cured salmon, two kinds of pickled herring, an amazing flavorful fresh slaw, chocolate bread pudding, typical style cold cuts and cheese /cucumbers/tomatoes plus flatbread/smoked lamb, along with cereal, a fresh loaf of bread to be cut for toast with jellies and jams... and hard boiled eggs. Staff was helpful - when they were around. Unfortunately we didn't have time enough to use their outdoor hot tub but we did walk across the parking lot to the Viking Restaurant where we were served drinks and foods by Viking clad waiters who regaled us with tales of the old days along with singing.   "I cannot be more happier to write this review about Edda's Farmhouse in Town as I only have good things to say. Firstly the owner, Edda, was very helpful during the booking process before we arrived, I highly reccommend you speak to her before you book. My husband and I didn't want to stay in ..."Reykjavik centre, so we searched for a more quiet area and found Edda's guesthouse in Hafnarfjordur right near a peaceful harbour, which is roughly a 15 minute drive from Reykjavik and a 30 minute drive to Keflavik airport. When we arrived after a long day of travelling, we were met by Edda's friendly face and a nice, warm home. Edda's house is charming and has a true homely atmosphere, situated in a friendly and quiet town. The bedroom is newly updated and a comfortable size for 2 people, enough space for luggage and winter coats etc. The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows and bedding, which is definitely needed after a long day of sight seeing.   "With such a big group, our family needed a place where we could all be together. This guesthouse suited us perfectly when we booked 3 rooms upstairs for 8 people. Everything was spotlessly clean and the beds very comfortable. Each room was equipped with a sink, while the toilets (2) and showers (..."2) were shared.
