I recently returned to the Furstenhof along with 4 friends for a long weekend, staying for 3 nights in a 5-bed apartment on the top floor. All the rooms were very clean and comfortable, with everything available for ..."self-catering had we needed it. Instead, we were provided with a more than adequate breakfast. We also had secure storage for skis/boards and a heated rack for our boots. The bar in the Alphof (next door) was available when needed and most important - the ski bus stopped right outside. The valley in which the hotel lies has a range of ski runs and an excellent ski school. The better skiers in our party had exhausted the runs and done lots of off piste skiing by the time we left, so we probably won't return. However, there were many families there who return to the hotel annually (sometimes more than once), having taught their children and now their grandchildren to ski there, and that possibility might draw us back some time in the future!
