  "We were checked into the hotel by Guilia who speaks good English and was friendly enough but left after we checked in so we were on our own with any issues that raised. We asked her if there was a English channel on the TV as she was leaving and she said yes but did not know which one. We never co..."uld find any and we did not see her again until morning. My niece and I were never able to connect to the wifi in the "lobby" area which was the only place it "worked". Again she was not around to troubleshoot with us. The room was spacious, clean, and the beds comfortable, we slept well. It is a good location also. The bathroom is huge and we were happy there was a large jacuzzi tub although it was hard to figure out how to use it. The breakfasts were adequate, not as good as others we had in Italy. Overall this is a nice B & B but be prepared to be on your own for most of your stay.......There is no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor which was a bit difficult for my 78 ye... " More >

  "I just returned from Orvieto. Staying at Porta Vivaria was so comfortable. The bathroom is complete and modern. The room has lovely old wood beams in the ceiling and is quite romantic. Fausto and his wife Valeria were charming, helpful hosts. I highly recommend this small hotel."
