The main e..."ntrance from street level (steep, limited vehicle access) is much more grand! Room was of a good size, modern, well appointed and clean; breakfast buffet of good standard and variety. The main feature of the town is its castle - "rocca" - which is well worth a visit if only to see how local enterprise has renovated it and made it a centre for a variety of cultural activities. Rain prevented any exploration of the countryside, but this promised good walks and interesting geological features. The hotel has its own restaurant in season, but was not operating at the time of our visit. On the other hand, the superb "Antica Grotta" is barely 50 yards away! " More >
