  "We used this hotel as stop-over place for our journey by car from the South of France back to Belgium. It is at some distance from the Highway but the traffic on secondary roads in this part of France is relaxing as is the landscape you drive through. Our GPS had some difficulties locating the place..." as there is no street number associated with the address. Luckily it was listed under the "Hotels" section of "Places of Interest". The hotel met our requirements for this type of "pass-thru" visit: quiet location (certainly the rooms facing backside), convenient parking, friendly people, small but clean room with excellent bed, a decent restaurant with affordable price (19 Euro for set menu) and a good selection of the local wines, correct breakfast included in room price. Tonnerre is a few km away, we drove through in 2 different directions but it didn't seem very appealing.... " More >

  "We first stayed here in 2009 and have been back a few times since. We have seen all of the bedrooms (apart from a couple which have been renovated since we were last there) and each one is superb. What makes this bed and breakfast so much fun is that it is full of originalities like the different ..."decoration in each of the bedrooms and the open log fire in the dining room. Something that we really appreciated was the space in the bedroom and also in general in the house which is huge. Eric and Véronique are wonderful hosts and the evening meal contains local dishes and wine with lots of lively conversations. They are also excellent at putting you in touch with local wine producers so that you can go and try out the wines from the surrounding area. You won't find your average hotel here (there is no TV-no hardship for us!) but you will find a unique place which is full of charm. " More >

The house is absolutely lovely! Furnished with the most amazing antiques. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The..." house has a lot of character. The hosts are amazing. The received us with genuine hospitality. They were extremely accommodating for our baby. They also assisted us on places to visit in the area. The breakfast was delicious, with home made bread, a wide selection of home made jam and home made yoghurt. One morning we were treated with the most amazing sweet pancakes! We also had dinner with them the one evening which was an experience we will never forget! With vegetables from their garden, dessert from their orchid, a selection of delicious cheeses, and a home made fig sweet with coffee. They even prepared some special food for our baby.
